The American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has reacted regarding the tensions and violence that is happening in the north of Kosovo, where the three Albanian mayors of the municipalities of Leposaviç, Zubin Potok, and Zveçan were sworn in.

Through a statement, Antony Blinken said that this government took these actions against the advice of the United States and Kosovo's European partners.

Feedback:

These actions have sharply and unnecessarily escalated tensions, undermining our efforts to help normalize relations between Kosovo and Serbia, and will have consequences for our bilateral relations with Kosovo.

We call on Prime Minister Albin Kurti to change course and all parties to refrain from any further actions that would inflame tensions and incite conflict
