Shaban Murseli told the investigation that he was aware of a family problem with his son Naim Murseli, which was probably about a year before the execution of Liridona Ademaj, his wife.
In a testimony given to Kosovo Police investigators on December 1 last year, Naim Murseli's father said that his son had an affair with his aunt's son, K. Kokalla, the brother of Kushtrim Kokalla, suspect for involvement in the murder of Liridona Ademaj.
Some messages exchanged by Naim Murseli with the cloud of Kushtrim Kokalla had become an issue in the Murseli family, the head of the family confessed.
"I, apart from a problem that Naimi has with his aunt's son K. a year ago, after several massages exchanged over the phone, namely with B., K.'s wife. According to the knowledge I have about this case there was nothing more between Naim and B. apart from some writings and non-intimate photos, normal photos", said Shaban Murseli in the testimony given to the police on December 1.
Shaban Murseli said that Naimi and Liridona have met with Kushtrim Kokalla's brother and his wife and have closed this issue. He said that the relationship between him and Naim has cooled due to this case.
"Well, I know that Naim and Liridona and K. and B. have agreed that this matter should end there. From this case, Naimi has cooled the relations with me and the family in a way", he said.
Asked by the police investigators if they asked him for any tribute from the Kokalla family regarding this problem, Shaban Murseli said: "I have no information that Naimi or the family paid anything for this work."
In his testimony before police investigators, which was provided by "Paparaci", Shaban Murseli recounted the moment when he was told the news of Liridona Ademaj's murder.
"I was informed about this case on the day of the murder. My second son Mergimi called me and told me about the case where he was around 10:00 p.m. on 29.11.2023, and he said, 'Dad, have you talked to Naim because they are saying that they killed Lili', while I I am shocked by this news", he confessed.
"I called my wife and asked her what happened and told her, then after a while we got together with my wife Sanija, brother Asllan, his wife Fatmira and son Mergimi and we left by car where we traveled to Kosovo about 40 hours and we arrived on 01.12.2023 at 06:00 at the house in the village where we met the whole family. I couldn't ask anyone about the case, since we were very busy with the burial procedure and waiting for people," said Murseli.
He said that after the burial ceremony of Liridona Ademaj, the police raided his house and one of the police investigators told him that his son, Naimi, was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the murder.
"Then, after the funeral, around 4:30 p.m., some police cars came to our yard, where they took Naimi to Pristina. While during the raid of the house by the Police, one of the investigators from Pristina separated me into a room where he told me about the case and informed me that Naimi was involved in the murder and that he was arrested. We were all very shocked by this announcement and we didn't even know what to do", said Murseli, reports Paparaci.
Even Murseli in his testimony has mentioned the case of the family problem of exchanging messages with the cloud of Kushtrim Kokalla.
"A family problem where some text messages with a relative have come to light. They have sent these SMS to my wife and this has put a lot of strain on our marriage. After this event, the pressure and control over me increased where I asked for a separation, but my wife categorically did not accept and at a party in Malmo, Sweden, my wife took revenge on me by cheating on me with a foreign person there," he said. before the investigators.
"I have seen this event with my own eyes, but I have not told him at any time. This event certainly weighed on me and affected our relationship. As a husband, I have fulfilled all her conditions and I wanted her to be happy", said Murseli.
