Greek media have provided footage from the moment of the fatal head-on collision that occurred on Friday morning (7/8) on the Drama - Amphipolis National Road, outside Paleokomi in the Municipality of Amphipolis in Serres.

The video comes from the truck driver's mobile phone, which had the video recording turned on at the time.

The footage captures the moment when the car, for a reason that is still unknown, enters oncoming traffic and collides head-on with the truck, causing an unspeakable family tragedy.

The accident occurred at around 07:30 in the morning, where the victims were a 43-year-old woman and her 24-year-old son, Albanian citizens, who had been permanent residents of Paleokomi for many years.

According to reports, the 24-year-old was driving the car with his mother as a passenger and was heading towards Ofrinio, where they worked. At the same time, the truck was moving in the opposite direction towards Drama./ CNNgreek
