Elbasan Bypass, ARRSH announces the winner of the company with the highest offer

The Albanian Road Authority has announced the winner of the company " A & E ENGINEERING " , with the highest bid of 81.46 million ALL, which will design the Elbasan bypass project.

6 companies participated in the competition opened by ARRSH, 4 of which had the offer with the lowest price, but were evaluated with fewer points by the Bid Evaluation Commission.

The winning company ' A & E ENGINEERING ', according to SCAN , has given the offer very close to the limit fund of 81.83 million ALL made available by ARRSH for the performance of this service.

Referring to the tender criteria, after signing the contract, the company will have 22 months available to design the project.

This means that only after 2 years will be able to open the tender for the selection of the company that will carry out the works for the construction of this infrastructural work, while their duration is still unknown.

In the tender documents, it was stated that this is one of the most important axes, not only from a road point of view, but also from an economic point of view.

It is part of Corridor VIII , connecting the Port of Durrës with Qafë Thana. According to the tender documents, the current ring road of the city of Elbasan does not have the necessary parameters to cope with the growing traffic of this international corridor.

The project is supposed to start from the end of the Tirana-Elbasan highway and end at the exit of the city in the Elbasan-Përrenjas segment.

Since another project is currently being implemented for this area, such as the "Expansion of the Elbasan-Qafë-Thane road segment" about 1,440 m away from the village of Labinot Fushë, this point is another alternative for the completion of the Bypass.

The road is supposed to have two passing lanes with a width of 3.75 each, an emergency lane, an asphalt embankment, and a traffic island.
