One of the most important discoveries of the Albanian-Polish mission in Shkodër is exhibited; a Latin inscription dating to the 1st century AD, discovered in stera 2 (medieval buildings) in Rozafa Castle. The discovery has to do with a dedication related to the official name of the city "colonia Scodranorum", which apparently also gave the name to the city.
Due to the impossibility of access to visit, on the site, this object that remains all the time covered by water, it became possible to reproduce a copy of it.
Thanks to the cooperation of the Albanian-Polish Mission and the Shkodër Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage , the reproduction of the inscription, carefully worked by the specialist Petrit Bilali, and the exhibition of the copy for visitors in the antiquities pavilion at the Castle Museum, accompanied by the relevant information about the visitors.
The Albanian-Polish mission which in the years 2011-2017 researched the traces of ancient Shkodra, brought to light important discoveries and artifacts on the extent of the city, its urbanization, the defense system of the city in its lower part.
