In his speech to the UN General Assembly, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić reiterated the position that Kosovo is part of Serbia and said he would defend the country's territorial integrity.
He thanked the states that do not recognize Kosovo, as he claimed, despite great international pressure, and criticized NATO's attacks on Serbia.
"I am thinking of all the countries that recognized Kosovo's independence. For many of you, this may sound like a distant past, but the wounds inflicted on international law are deeper and more serious. The order of the charter of international law no longer exists. They destroyed it because of their political interests.
The only official reason for the attack on Serbia, carried out by 19 NATO countries, is that they told us they attacked the country to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe. That did not happen. Open your eyes to all the contracts you signed with the great powers.
Thus, we signed the famous Brussels Agreement in 2013, with the desire to resolve the problems between Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo through a compromise. All the obligations that Serbia had were fulfilled, and the only one that the Albanians had, regarding the formation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities, was not fulfilled.
I want to thank each of the 107 countries that did not recognize the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo...
"It is more difficult for us in Serbia when, in our environment, we see Nazism rising again to the pedestal of social values, especially in Croatia, a state which is proud of its Nazi past and the use of Nazi slogans and symbols today," he said.
