The GJKKO finds the first violation in the transfer of Erion Veliaj!

The First Instance Court for Corruption and Organized Crime found today that the General Directorate of Prisons has violated its legal obligation to notify the court of the transfer of Erion Veliaj.

This is the first judicial finding of a violation in the transfer procedure, which Veliaj has publicly described as a "kidnapping."

Today's finding does not exhaust the issue of the legality of the transfer. 

On the contrary, it adds to the need to clarify on what legal basis, by whose order, and for what reasons the transfer was decided and executed.

The legality of the actions of the penitentiary administration cannot be a matter of uncontrolled discretion.
