The local police of Shkodra are very close to solving the two murders that occurred in Dukagjin in the summer of this year. A few days ago, the director of the local police of Shkodra, Dashamir Spaho, confirmed this.

 On July 11, Aleksandër Koçeku was shot inside his four-story house and executed on the spot, a murder that, according to his cousin, was motivated by blood feud.

Less than two months later, another murder occurred no more than 10 km away, as citizens Lekë Gjoni, 57, and his elderly father Prelë Gjoni were shot with a barrage of bullets, while another person was injured but managed to escape.

 Both of these serious events are almost identical in terms of the methods of execution and the actions of the perpetrators, raising suspicions that they may be linked to each other.

Shkodra police, according to sources, have confirmed that the two murders are related.

 The investigation team is also said to have tracked down the suspected perpetrators, while the perpetrators of these two murders are likely not in Albania. So there are strong suspicions that we are dealing with contract killings in each case.

After the murder of Aleksandër Koçek, the police have strong suspicions that citizen Lekë Gjoni, who was killed before he was two months old along with his father, may have been involved in the Koçek incident, although not directly.

There are suspicions that Lekë Gjoni may have had knowledge of the murder of Aleksandër Koçek, which he may have expressed, and this subsequently led to his execution.

Shkodra Police have secured some evidence that leads to the perpetrators of both murders. The investigation team is also waiting for the full disclosure of the conversations on the victim Lekë Gjoni's cell phone to reveal more about the two serious crimes.

The suspected perpetrators have not yet been announced as wanted, while the Shkodra police are expected to finalize the operation to solve these two murders shortly.
