Happens in Saranda/ 31-year-old woman steals car from hotel parking lot, removes

A 31-year-old woman was arrested today in Saranda after stealing a vehicle from a hotel parking lot. 

According to the police, the young woman was arrested just 30 minutes after taking the vehicle, from which she had removed the license plates and thrown them in the trash. The young woman was arrested in flagrante delicto and is charged with the criminal offense of "Theft."

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, for further action. 

Police announcement: 

She stole a vehicle from the parking lot of a hotel, in neighborhood no. 1., was caught after 30 minutes by the Police, driving the stolen vehicle, and the 31-year-old was arrested.   

The stolen vehicle and its license plates, which the 31-year-old had removed and thrown into the trash, were seized.   

Immediately after a citizen reported the theft of his vehicle, which he had parked in the parking lot of a hotel, in neighborhood no. 1, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Saranda Police Commissariat organized the work to solve the theft. As a result of rapid investigative and operational actions, it became possible to identify, locate and detain the suspected perpetrator of the vehicle theft, citizen ES.    

This citizen is suspected of having stolen the vehicle owned by citizen AM and removed the license plates, which she threw in a garbage can, on the outskirts of the city. She was located and detained by the Police services, near the Skërfica tunnel, while driving the stolen vehicle, about 30 minutes after its theft.     

At the conclusion of the procedural actions, citizen ES, 31 years old, resident of Saranda, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Theft".
