Winter is coming to the big screen… in the summer of 2029. “Game of Thrones: Aegon's Conquest,” the first film set in the fictional world of Westeros, is scheduled for release on June 6, 2029.

The film, titled "Aegon's Conquest," will tell the story of Aegon Targaryen, who, along with his sisters, Visenya and Rhaenys, and their three dragons, conquered most of Westeros and laid the foundations of the Targaryen dynasty.

The film will be directed by Owen Harris, who also worked on "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms", while the script will be written by Bo Willimon, the creator of "House of Cards".

The cast of the film has not yet been announced, including the actor who will play Aegon Targaryen.

Warner Bros. also hasn't revealed any other details about the project.

"Aegon's Conquest" will be the first film in the "Game of Thrones" universe, which has so far been expanded mainly through series, including "House of the Dragon" and "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms."

Meanwhile, HBO is continuing work on new seasons of these two series.
