The Ministry of Finance and Economy has reacted today regarding the news that Panorama Newspaper has been asked to vacate the premises rented by the state, a few days before the IKMT construction workers start destroying the pools of the " Prestige " resort, activities owned of businessman " Irfan Hysenbelliu ".

The Ministry of Finance says that the release of the premises of " Panorama ", which is part of " Focus Media News ", was not requested by Prime Minister Edi Rama, but was based on a final decision of the court, since the newspaper in question, according to the Ministry, has 6 years without paying the dues.

" The media statement of Mr. Irfan Hysenbelliu, that the court has declared the MFE's letter illegal, is a fiction ", it is said, among other things, in the reaction of the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

Clarification of the Ministry of Finance and Economy:

In the wake of the attacks filled with fabrications, which have targeted the Tax and Customs institutions in recent months, by Mr. Irfan Hysenbelliu's media, another one has appeared today addressed to the MFE.

According to them, the Prime Minister requested the release of the state premises rented by Mr. Irfan Hysenbelliu's media group in order to silence his media. This is a malicious slander, like many others produced by this media group.

We inform you that: Yes, there was a lease contract between the Ministry of Finance and Economy and "Focus Media Group", which ended on 25.07.2022. Referring to the concluded contract and specifically to article 7 "Termination of the contract", point 7.1, it is provided that:

“Kontrata zgjidhet me mbarimin e afatit të përcaktuar në pikën 3.1 të kësaj kontrate”. Ministria e Financave dhe Ekonomisë, me cilësinë e subjektit qiradhënës, ka njoftuar subjektin përmes korrespondencës shkresore mbi përfundimin e afatit të kontratës së qirasë për godinat që duhet t’i kthehen shtetit.

Në të njëjtën kohë, “Gazeta Panorama”, pjesë e “Focus Media News” që ushtron aktivitetin e saj në të njëjtat godina, rezulton të mos ketë paguar as detyrimet financiare kontraktuale prej 6 vitesh.

The media statement of Mr. Irfan Hysenbelliu, that the court declared the MFE's letter illegal, is a fabrication. The court has taken a procedural suspension decision on the release of state buildings, until the case is dealt with and resolved by a final court decision.

MFE fully respects this decision and expects the court to recognize the state's right to recover the property it belongs to.
