The victory of Shkodra by the socialists seems to have its ' ace ' and he is the former MP, now the leader of the Social Democratic Party , Tom Doshi.

During the counting of the votes of the Municipal Council in Shkodër , it appears that until now, PSD has secured 12 councilor seats, while the Socialist Party has received 18 .

Counting progressions show an increase of PSD even further, while Baskë Fitomje has received 13 and PD e Alibeajt 4 .

240 VCs have been counted out of 247 in total, the analysis of the opposition's defeat in Shkodër will continue in the coming days, but the political balance in this city has already changed.

The first signals that Shkodra would see the left were also given in the parliamentary elections of April 25, 2021. Tom Doshi , a controversial figure of Albanian politics and business, declared nongrata by the USA, competed in the 2021 parliamentary elections in two districts, Tirana and Shkodër .

 While " Bashke Fitomje " managed to win in total only in seven municipalities; Kavaja , Puke, Has, Himare, Memaliaj, Mirdite , Fushë Arrez.
