Albanian weightlifter Enkileda Carja has achieved another important success in the international arena, being declared the European U20 runner-up at the European Youth and U23 Weightlifting Championships, which is taking place in Durrës.

The red-and-black athlete excelled in the women's 69-kilogram category, closing the competition with three medals: two silver and one bronze.

Carja secured the bronze medal in the snatch, where she managed to lift 101 kilograms in the third event. She then performed successfully in the clean and jerk, completing all three events and reaching the maximum weight of 123 kilograms, a result that earned her the silver medal.

With a total of 224 kilograms in the two-event, the Albanian weightlifter also secured her second silver medal, ranking second in Europe in this discipline.

This result takes on special value for Carja, who, despite the aforementioned physical difficulties, managed to confirm her level and climb the European podium three times.

The three medals won in Durrës constitute another success for Albanian weightlifting and a reason for pride for the red-and-black sport.
