Prime Minister Edi Rama responded to opposition calls to explain how Vlora Hyseni was appointed head of SHISH.

"Attempts to explain the appointment of Vlora Hyseniy as head of SHISH with all sorts of conspiratorial fantasies have no connection to the truth. The truth is simple. She started working with me in the role of advisor. After a not-so-short period in that role, as well as based on excellent references received from partner services, she was appointed head of SHISH.

 

There is no question today that the former head of SHISH has opened a difficult account with justice, but rather has incurred a great moral debt in this country.

But, likewise, there is no question that this country does not become fairer when today's people under investigation by the prosecution are lynched in media outlets, nor does this society become better when it fans the flames of those mobs," Rama said.
