Two young men, Edison Korra , 24 years old, and Orest Balla , 23 years old, have been arrested in Tirana after trying to defraud the head of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka , out of 100 thousand euros.
The two arrested men communicated with Armand Duka , introducing themselves as Taulant Balla , with the aim of obtaining 100 thousand euros in cryptocurrency.
The businessman realized that it was a fraud attempt and immediately notified the police.
During communication with the perpetrators, Duka told them that he did not deal with such transactions and directed them to contact his son, since, according to him, he dealt with these matters.
An undercover police agent, who introduced himself as Armando Duka's son, then communicated on the phone of the two arrested.
VoxNews has obtained photos of two young men, Edison Korra, 24 years old, and Orest Balla , 23 years old, who attempted to deceive Armando Duka.
The agent informed the scammers that he could not send the money in cryptocurrencies, but would deliver it to them in cash.
The two perpetrators confessed and asked him to deliver the money to them in Elbasan. The police then organized an operation to catch them red-handed.
At the moment of handing over the money, the officers intervened and arrested the two young men. One of them attempted to run away, but was chased and caught by the police officers.
