Applications open tomorrow, what should farmers do to benefit from the funds?

From tomorrow, March 27, 2024, applications for the benefit of funds in agriculture through the National Scheme 2024 will be opened and 32 million euros will be available to farmers, which will go to their support.

In total, there are 8 measures that will be financed, which includes support for the matriculated basic herd/cows/sheep and goats; beekeeping; support for seeds/seedlings and other inputs; support for the cultivation of aromatic-medicinal plants; support for organic farms; Global GAP certification; as well as diesel support for mechanized works in agriculture.

The application is made through e-Albania and the main criteria that must be fulfilled by the applicants are: The document that proves the status of the applicant (farmer, natural/legal person, SHBB; not to be debtors to Taxes; to have paid social security and if they apply as individuals, to reach the threshold set for support, i.e. to have no less than 10 heads/cows; no less than 100 heads of sheep/goats; no less than 50 beehives and for oil no less than 1 hectare, etc.

As for the oil scheme, farmers must have agricultural land owned or in use, proven with relevant documentation; The total area for which it is applied must be no less than 1 (one) ha, while the size of the plots with an area of ​​no less than 0.1 ha. The application to benefit from the oil support measure for agriculture is made by self-declaration. The money for the oil scheme will go directly to the farmers' accounts.

This year, more priority has been given to the association of farmers, providing them with 100 percent financing, while for individual applicants there will be a proportional allocation of the remaining fund, and at a certain ceiling, the support will be halved.
