The labor market is being oriented every day more and more towards the demands of young people from vocational schools. This is because the flow of emigration over the last few years has also affected craftsmen, which has caused vacancies in such fields as electronics, construction, woodworking, plumbing, as well as information technology branches.
During the first 6 months of 2023, the National Agency for Employment and Skills, with the support of the Skills 4 Jobs project, has developed the tracking process at the national level for graduates/certificates of the school year 2021-2022 in secondary vocational schools.
The preliminary results show that the employability of students after graduation is 59.5% (2% more than a year ago) if students who continue higher studies are included and 77.4% if this category is not included in the calculation.
The tracking results showed positive results for the most important indicators that were measured. The level of employability and the level of active participation of graduates in the labor market increased compared to the previous year, significantly reducing the % of graduates who are not in education, training or employment (NEET).
At the end of the 2021-2022 school year, 7,992 students were certified and another 3,226 graduated. The passing rate for this school year in the level exams was 93%, while for the state matura it was 89%.
