Electricity bill, almost 75 percent of consumption for 3 household appliances.

As every family needs electricity for household appliances, the data show that almost 75% of the annual consumption is occupied by the use of the air conditioner for heating and cooling the environment, the boiler for warm water and electric stoves.

More specifically, according to the latest data available from the Energy Regulatory Authority, on average, 37% of a household's annual energy consumption is only for space heating and air conditioning. However, this indicator varies significantly according to the geographical location, the size and structure of the house, as well as the equipment and materials used. Meanwhile, water heating is ranked in second place with 19% of consumption and therefore also the weight it occupies in the electricity bill.

While, after it comes the electric stove with 17% of the total annual consumption. The rest of the annual energy consumption in the family is divided between other devices, such as: Washing machine, refrigerator, dishwasher, television, etc. However, the lighting of the apartment accounts for 4% of the annual consumption.

According to the Energy Regulatory Body, these data should serve to raise awareness among consumers to understand the efficient use of electricity, and on the other hand, guide them towards the choice of efficient energy-saving devices.

For the latter, according to a draft law issued for public consultation, suppliers and traders will have new obligations in terms of labeling products for the energy class, providing consumers with the necessary information.
