DPSHTRR reacts after the "boycott" of driving schools: There is no

Driving schools have boycotted their activity for one day, not performing any service at the regional directorates of the branches of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services.

The reason for this decision, according to them, was their lack of information, as interest groups, on the change in service fees by DPSHTRR or the non-implementation of instructions for medical assistance and making payments for the service received from driving schools in the bank.

Meanwhile, in a reaction, the General Directorate of Road Transport Services has rejected the complete boycott by driving schools, since according to it, based on statistical data and monitoring of the progress of services in all Regional Directorates, services for driving licenses have continued normally and that attendance for registrations, theoretical and practical tests, retests, driving license renewal, as well as for any other service offered at the counters, is the same as any other working day.

Regarding the change in fees, the DPSHTRR says that we are not dealing with a price increase, but with a review and indexation of the fees for driving license services, which had not been changed for 23 years.

"This tariff revision comes as a result of the legal changes approved in agreement with the interest groups, with the aim of increasing road safety and the standards set by the directives of the European Union, for the provision of services for driving licenses. In order to achieve these standards, DPSHTRR has invested in infrastructure, the modernization of service processes related to driving schools and driving license trainees, in the simplification and harmonization of these procedures, as well as the addition of service offices to be as close as possible to citizens". it is stated in the reaction of DPSHTRR, adding that the indexed and approved tariffs are reflected on the official website of this department.
