While presenting the National Support Scheme for farmers and livestock breeders, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj emphasized that the union of farmers will raise standards and is a great opportunity not to be left behind.
"When we talk about standards, I absolutely want to emphasize the need why the merger is a must for the food safety standard. There is no way we can continue to be small. And when we speak, we don't speak each of us, but we must understand that in a certain area where the potential is to join and not to return to the cooperatives."
According to Denaj, when the applications start on March 27, where cattlemen or small farmers who have less than 1 ha of land, come together and sign an interest agreement.
"We are talking about 1 ha for farmers. What does this mean? That there are others who have less. There are greenhouses, which are on half a hectare. Can we automate agricultural processes? Are we able to invest all the agricultural protocols for a product that is required not only by the foreign market, but also by those who are coming now in this year, I believe that they will reach 14 million tourists. Quality is required, but quality for me as an economist is sharpening the pencil and deciding that costs are appropriate for larger areas for larger production products.”
According to the Minister, last year it was possible to distribute oil to all the beneficiaries. about $51 million to 65,000 farmers, this year it will be $55 million to 70,000 farmers. The minister also informed that the initiative for facilitating the granting of construction permits in rural areas is already being finalized, which will affect their development.
