The board of Ceti "has frozen"! The price of oil on the stock exchange

For 21 days, the Transparency Board has not changed the price of retail oil, fixing it at 199 ALL/liter, while Albanian citizens are buying at the pumps more expensively than all neighboring countries.

On the website of the Public Procurement Agency, the purchase prices of oil from the Platt's exchange are public, specifically on December 30 and from January 3 to 5.

Calculating with the Board's own formula, with a premium over the ton of oil of $30 as determined by the customs itself and with a fixed profit margin of 15 lek/liter, it results that from January 3, oil in Albania should have been from 2 - 4 ALL/liter cheaper.

Oil experienced an increase at the end of the year up to $932 per ton, but then it dropped drastically, which was not reflected by the Board either in the increase or decrease.

Neighboring Macedonia on January 9 reduced oil by 2 lek/liter, while the Albanian Board continues to keep it fixed. Macedonia has another specificity. In the absence of a portal authority, oil that is mostly imported from Greece has higher transport costs as it also carries land routes, but this does not prevent the Regulatory Body there from giving a timely verdict on the appropriate retail price.

From the delay in the decision-making of the Board in these two days, where are the approximately 30 thousand euros that the oil companies earn per day at the expense of the citizens./ TCH
