The maintenance of the Trans Adriatic pipeline in the Albanian territory is expected to cost about 60.8 million lek, until September of the coming year. Albanian Gas Service (AGS), which is the company created by Albgaz and the Italian company SNAM, in the function of maintenance of the gas pipeline, has opened the tender to choose a company that will support it for carrying out inspection activities.
Likewise, it is intended to fulfill the regulatory requirements regarding the assessment of the conformity of the installations according to the requirements of the Albanian law. According to the tender documents, the verification of the technical condition of the equipment installations will serve to determine and identify technical problems before they create serious damage and possible breakdown of the system.
This monitoring will simultaneously evaluate the compliance with the requirements of the standards for the operation and maintenance of the installations and will determine the necessary interventions for the repair, optimization and preventive measures that must be taken to guarantee the safe operation and the lifetime of the TAP installations.
The agreement for the maintenance of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline was signed in 2018, while the maintenance activity began in 2019. The signed agreement has an initial duration of 7 years.
