Arlinda Zekaj

Kosovo Police have announced that Albert Sylaj, suspected of the murder of Arlinda Zekaj in Vitomirica, Peja, has been arrested. 

Sylaj was arrested at around 23:40 in Deçan.

Sylaj is suspected of killing Arlinda Zekaj, his former sister-in-law, with an axe on October 25. He was being sought by the police.

"After intensive operational and investigative efforts, as well as cooperation with citizens, the suspect, Albert Sylaj, who was wanted in connection with the "serious murder" case that occurred on October 25, 2026, in the village of Vitomiricë, Peja, has been located and arrested. The arrest was carried out tonight, at around 23:40, in Deçan, following actions taken by the relevant police units," the Kosovo Police announced.
