Greek police suspect that Alket Rizai, the Albanian convict who did not return to Domokos prison on September 14, after the end of his leave, may have fled to Albania or Kosovo.

Rizai was involved the day before in a shooting incident outside a beach bar in Anavisos, where he had gone in his vehicle along with several other people.

According to the information released, Rizai had turned the music on very loud, while the owner of the bar came outside to ask him to turn it down. The situation then escalated into a heated argument, as several customers and employees came outside to see what was happening.

At that moment, according to evidence being investigated by Greek authorities, Alket Rizai is suspected of having pulled out a gun. Police are also examining the possibility that he fired the gun, possibly into the air.

A 27-year-old man of Afghan origin, who worked as a security guard at the beach bar, has been arrested in connection with the incident. He is accused of attempting to shoot another person to death, while two passersby were slightly injured as a result of the shooting.

New evidence: Police flashlight and megaphone

Meanwhile, new evidence has raised questions about how Alket Rizai may have fled after the incident.

According to the testimony of a driver who was traveling on the roads where Rizai is suspected to have passed after the collision in Anavisos, a vehicle behind him activated a headlight similar to those used by the Greek police on its civilian vehicles.

The witness allegedly also stated that one of the people in the vehicle spoke to him through a megaphone.

Greek authorities are investigating the evidence, while the search for Alket Rizai's location continues. One of the scenarios being considered is his departure from Greece, with Albania or Kosovo as possible destinations.
