Fire in Bilisht, flames advancing towards Kapshtica. Intervention with
Fire in Kapshtica

A massive reactivation of wildfires has engulfed the area between Bilisht and the national road towards the Kapshtica customs. The flames have spread rapidly and are now clearly visible in the hills surrounding the town of Bilisht.

According to the emergency headquarters, the fires were reactivated in the evening hours, while the situation has deteriorated significantly due to the wind and difficult terrain. Intervention is almost impossible.

In the field, along the national roads, a fire truck was forced to withdraw due to the danger and unfavorable conditions for intervention. However, the Prefecture emphasizes that the fire does not pose any danger to the border point, as it is being monitored.

Throughout yesterday evening and today, dozens of people have been engaged in efforts to extinguish the flames, but the difficult terrain, high temperatures, and strong winds have caused the fire not only to be out of control, but to spread even further.
