The work of Albanian firefighters engaged in the fight with the flames in Greece continues.

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi announced that Albanian firefighters in cooperation with Greeks could control the blazes over a 4-kilometer line.

The fires in Greece are still serious, with nine days since massive fires erupted across the country.

"Our BMEC officers, since the early hours of today, together with a greek firefighting team, have made it possible to isolate and control a fire-fighting fire about 4 km. Maximum assessments by the Greek side for the excellent work these officials are doing from the first day of operation in the neighbouring state.

"Proud of our boys who are working selflessly alongside all other partner teams, joining forces to help put out the tragic flames that have taken hold of Greek territory," peleshi said.
