The General Director of the Fire Department, Arben Cara, in a statement to the media, said that the fire in Llogara has been brought under control and that the National Park is not at risk.

He said that there are about 40 firefighting forces on the ground that are working to extinguish all the fires.

"We had two parallel fires, one in Dhërmi and one in Llogora, fortunately we closed the fire in Llogora in a very quick time after we put all the structures in motion, we intervened from the air with helicopters and about 40 firefighting forces were deployed in the neck of Llogora as the wind is favoring the fires, the situation is under control and there is no danger, the National Park of Llogora", he said.

Director Arben Ceka also stated that it is serious arson and that the perpetrators will be brought before the law.
