A serious incident took place today in the city of Korça, where a 49-year-old woman was seriously injured.

Police say the woman set herself on fire and then jumped from the balcony. The motives that pushed him to the extreme act remain unclear

The 49-year-old woman is in the hospital under the care of doctors.

"Today on 04.07.2024 around 2:30 p.m., in district no. 10, Korçë, SK citizen, about 49 years old, is suspected to have doused herself with fuel, set herself on fire and then jumped from the balcony. As a result, this citizen received burns and bodily injuries and is being treated in the hospital.

The investigative group is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the event," the police announced.
