The fire which engulfed a surface with various vegetation and bushes in Dhërmi is reported to have been caused by an electrical spark as a result of the high voltage line.

It is learned that the Police services have established a security perimeter to avoid any possible danger, while the work to extinguish the flames continues.

"Today, in the "Kondraq" neighborhood, Dhërmi, it is suspected that due to an electric spark as a result of the high voltage line in this neighborhood, a fire broke out and an area with various vegetation and bushes is burning.

Police services are at the scene, who have established a security perimeter to avoid any possible danger.

The fire services, with the help of the FA helicopter, continue the work to extinguish the fire in cooperation with OSHEE employees and Himar Police officers.

The investigative group is working to fully elucidate the circumstances of the incident and to determine the cause of the fire," the police announced.
