The Tirana Court has imposed the security measure of "prison arrest" for Enea Zyferi, arrested as part of the investigation into the disappearance of 34-year-old Eglant Koçi, who has been missing since June 5.
Zyferi, who worked as a waiter in a bar owned by Armand Shakaj, a wanted person in connection with this case, is accused of supporting the perpetrator of the crime.
To hide any trace, Shakaj moved the victim's motorcycle from the area where he was held hostage towards 5 Maji, while the motorcycle was found two days later.
During the court hearing held this Wednesday, Enea Zyferi denied any involvement in the incident and stated that it has no connection to the case being investigated.
Meanwhile, the investigations continue intensively. According to sources from the investigation group, the evidence collected so far, both scientific and circumstantial, has raised strong suspicions that Eglant Koçi may have been murdered.
Police have found the place where the young man was held hostage, and the vehicle in which he was allegedly transported has been seized.
Authorities are continuing their efforts to fully investigate the incident and locate the people involved.
