The cause of the murder of "Koçole" and his friend is revealed,
Leonard Thodhori and Fatmir Sulovari alias Fatmir Krasniqi

New details have been revealed from the investigation into the disappearance of 46-year-olds in Saranda, Leonard Thodhori and Fatmir Sulovari alias Fatmir Krasniqi, known as "Koçole", where there has been no trace of them for 18 days.

As it was reported earlier, they are suspected to have been executed and buried in the village of Vrina in Konispol Municipality. It is learned that since the morning, about 50 family members of Fatmir Sulovari have headed towards this area to comb it physically and with logistical means in order to find dead bodies.

The sources indicate that the persons escorted in connection with this event have criminal records, some even arrested in the last two years by the police of Saranda for serious crimes, but later released by the Court of this city. It is not yet known if an arrest warrant has been issued against them.

It is suspected that the main motive for the execution of "Koçole" and his friend is thought to be the sale and purchase of a land, even though the persons suspected of this event have precedents for major narcotics cases.

The suspected perpetrators have taken care to hide the evidence well, since one of the 8 vehicles seized for verification, turns out to have had tire discs painted for camouflage. The lack of concrete evidence, but mainly bodies, is thought to be the reason why the police are not concluding the operation with arrests.

The hopes of the police and the prosecutor's office for finding the bodies are based on the cooperation of one of the persons who is being kept under escort, who has refused to speak even though he is an individual who has detailed information.

Who are Leonard Thodhori and Fatmir Sulovari alias Fatmir Krasniqi?

Leonard Thodhori is otherwise known as "Koçole" and has been convicted several times. He was suspected of being a participant in the Neck-Six Massacre in 1997 where police officer Gjergj Mehmeti was killed. In 2003, "Koçole" was present in the vehicle driven by Andrea Gjini before the latter killed businessman Jaho Bajo. Arrested that same year for "not reporting a crime" related to another incident committed by Gjini. Arrested later for "theft" and "fraud". Drug user and suspected of being involved in drug trafficking.

Meanwhile, Fatmir Sulovari alias Fatmir Krasniqi was previously convicted for "carrying weapons without a permit" and "intentionally causing minor injury". He was arrested in April 2022 in Lushnje, after a quantity of cannabis sativa divided into doses ready for sale was found in his "BMW" X5 vehicle.
