Milasin Ramaj was arrested yesterday evening in the center of Fier after a complaint received by the police from an investigative show.

Police have revealed details from the arrest, revealing that 38-year-old Milasim Ramaj had set up a criminal base in the 'Kastriot' neighborhood where he kept an arsenal of weapons.

13 firearms (3 of them modified for optical sights and silencers), 2 silencers, dozens of magazines and a significant amount of combat ammunition were seized.

The services of the Fier Police Commissariat were informed by journalists from the investigative show "Piranjat" that 1 citizen with whom they had communicated in the context of their work, possessed 1 firearm without a permit.

Immediately after the information, the investigative and operational structures of the Fier Police organized the work to clarify the authorship and circumstances of the case.

As a result of this work, the suspect citizen was located, specifically MR, 38 years old, resident of Fier, who was stopped while driving in the "Kastriot" neighborhood. From the search of the vehicle, 1 firearm, a pistol, which was possessed without a permit, and an amount of money of approximately 3,500 euros were found and seized.

Subsequently, the Police services conducted in-depth investigations into the criminal activity of the 38-year-old, and as a result, they enabled the discovery of a house (currently uninhabited) in the "Kastriot" neighborhood, which this citizen used as a base for weapons, weapon parts and ammunition, suspected of being sold to criminal groups.

From the search in this area, the following were found and seized:

-10 automatic firearms, 3 of which were modified with optical sights and threaded holes for silencers;

-1 firearm pistol;

-1 automatic pistol firearm;

-2 silencers;

-9 automatic loaders;

-3 rifle magazines;

-2 pistol combs;

-quantity of cartridges of different calibers.

At the conclusion of the first procedural actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Fier Police Commissariat arrested citizen MR in flagrante delicto, and in the meantime, they continue to conduct investigations, in coordination with the Fier Prosecutor's Office, to identify and bring to justice other citizens who may have been implicated in this criminal activity.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, for further action.
