The Trump administration is suspending all visa processing for visitors from 75 countries starting January 21.
This is reported by Fox News, citing a memo from the US State Department. These countries include Albania, as well as Kosovo.
The visa categories affected are family reunification, employment, adoption, special immigrant, diversity immigration (lottery). Student and tourist visas remain unaffected.
The suspension comes amid a broad crackdown on immigration pursued by Republican US President Donald Trump since taking office last January.
In November, Trump had promised to "permanently suspend" immigration from all "Third World Countries" after a shooting near the White House by an Afghan national who killed a National Guardsman.
