Two brothers have been arrested for the murder of Ramazan Mataj , an event that occurred in Dragoç, Shkodra, in early January.

A serious event that shocked the community where both families live, both the perpetrators and the victim.

After the incident, the president of the Association of Missionaries of Peace and Reconciliation, Dedë Shullani, went to the Hasaj family's house.

He learned about the situation from the father of the two authors, Rustem Hasaj. The latter spoke about his difficult emotional and economic situation.

He says that he has been isolated since the moment he learned about the incident.

"I am Rusem Hasaj from the village of Dragoç. The father of two sons who are under arrest. Today, with this misfortune that has befallen both parties, I have made a statement, I have apologized to the village, the family, the tribe. Today I need the state, I need the individual, because it has left me with 4 children, I am in a very weak economic situation. Therefore, I thank you as journalists for coming. I have no knowledge, but God has made it happen, my danger and his. This bomb has fallen on my house. It came unexpectedly. I am the seventh child myself, I have a sick wife. I have a son's daughter-in-law, I have 4 of my son's children who I have today in survival because I am not able to earn their bread, nor to get their medicine, nor to take them to school, because I have no income, nor assistance, nor help from the state. I am in isolation, it has been two days since I found out about it through the media, through the state. I am isolated. "I'm in a miserable financial situation. I don't want this to happen to anyone," he said.

Hasaj confessed that he and the victim's father were in the same class for 8 years and the incident shocked him.

"I knew him, I was his friend, I was in the same class with him for 8 years and we never had any disagreements with him or his tribe. Not even with anyone in the katun," said Rustem Hasaj.

Meanwhile, the president of the Association of Missionaries of Peace and Reconciliation of Albania, Dedë Shullani, says that work is being done to resume communication between families.

"This is a disaster, no one wants this problem to happen to them. We as an association went out after a week and communicated with the family that had the problem and the disaster with the aim that between the two families, over time and with the calming of the situation, the communication between these two families would decrease to increase one point of the goal to let the families live in peace. His family was in a catastrophic situation, people with economic problems, without a home, without an economy. According to the father's knowledge, he said he was not aware of the incident that his child had committed against him. He was humble, he was upset, and I don't know what to say, but a family in a very tired economic situation. We as missionaries will not stop visiting these families until the end until we find a way of communication for the good of both parties," he said.

The blood feud phenomenon continues to be a concern for the entire north of the country.

"It is worrying, but the reconciliation missionaries of Albania have done good work in several directions to stop this phenomenon. As long as there are people, these phenomena happen," said Shullani.

The incident in question occurred on January 4. Ramazan Mataj was shot in his car. Two brothers, Arjon and Klisman Hasaj, have been arrested for the incident.

Arjoni claimed responsibility for the murder, saying that the 33-year-old's ongoing affair with his sister was the cause of the breakup of her two marriages.

"I am the person who killed citizen Ramazan Mataj. For 6 years he had a relationship with our sister. Ramazan is the person who has broken up two of my sister's marriages in the last 6 years. He has told this story to many people in the village and beyond, while he is the person who divorced our sister twice. He has even distributed some videos to her second ex-husband and other people in the village in intimate moments with her sister," Hasaj declared.
