Kapshtica

The Chief of the Kapshtica Border Police Station has been suspended for three days and a disciplinary investigation has been launched against him, after a video was published on social media showing him hitting a customs officer.

In order to conduct a more thorough investigation, the General Director of the State Police has ordered his immediate transfer from the Kapshtica Border Control Point.

Meanwhile, the customs officer, according to the Korça Local Directorate of Border and Migration, has refused to file a report.

Regarding a video posted on the JOQ social network, which shows a police officer clashing with a customs employee at the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point, we would like to clarify that:

The incident occurred on 06.01.2025, and immediately after the incident, in accordance with the State Police regulation, the Chief of the Kapshtica Border Police Station, Commissioner A. A, was suspended from duty for three days and the Directorate of Professional Standards in the State Police initiated a disciplinary investigation against him.

In order to conduct a more thorough investigation, the General Director of the State Police has ordered the immediate transfer of this employee from the Kapshtica Border Control Point.

We clarify that citizen LM (customs officer) with whom the Chief of Station AA had a conflict, has refused to file a report.

The Police Supervision Agency has also conducted investigative actions in relation to this case.
