The media in the Czech Republic paid attention to the serious event that happened today in the high security prison in Peqin, where one convict was executed and two others were injured.
This is because the author of the crime is Sokol Mjacaj, sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of two Czech tourists in 2015, an event that shocked the entire public opinion.
Mjacaj, armed with a Kalashnikov, stopped the couple of tourists Michal Svatoš and Anna Kosinova near Theth, in an attempted robbery that, according to him, ended with the execution of both.
"Albanian Sokol Mjacaj, who killed two Czech tourists in the north of the Balkan country in 2015, shot his fellow prisoner and wounded another while in prison. "Mjacaj is serving a life sentence for the murder of the Czech couple," Czech newspapers write.
