Indrit Shaqja is one of the convicts who was injured this Friday in the high security prison in Peqin, as a result of gunshots.

Arben Lleshi was killed in this collision, who was allegedly shot dead by Sokol Mjacaj. The weapon was allegedly brought into the prison premises by drone. Two other prisoners were injured, one of them namely Indrit Shaqja. All three of these people are sentenced to life imprisonment.

Indrit Shaqja was convicted for the murder of two sisters-in-law Elsa and Gjinovefa Vava, respectively 75 and 70 years old. The serious event happened on September 3, 2014 in the house of the victims in Durrës.

The grandson of one of the victims, Artur Kaçanolli, believed that the elderly women had money and gold at home, so he organized a robbery in which two of his friends also participated: Velson Elmazi and Indrit Shaqja. They forced their way into the house and after not being able to find as much money as they thought, they raped both women to death. Two of the perpetrators were arrested 15 days after the crime, while Indrit Shaqja was arrested a month later in Spain and extradited to Albania. 

But just two months before the double murder, Indrit Shaqja was the protagonist in another event. It is about the disappearance of the singer of Tallava, Renato Hamza, otherwise known as Reni of Elbasani. From the images published in the media, the singer is seen in the center of Elbasan shaking hands with Indrit Shaqe, then, together with Deniz Xhija, the three leave together on foot. According to witnesses, Reni was then seen forcing himself into a car. From this moment on, there was no trace of Reni of Elbasan.

This Friday's murder in Peqin prison happened while the convicts were in the ventilation. Preliminary suspicions are that Sokol Mjacaj was paid to commit the murder of Arben Lleshi. While Shaqja is suspected to have been accidentally injured. It is learned that he was injured in the leg.

We recall that Mjacaj was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of two Czech tourists in July 2015.

While Arben Lleshi killed his compatriot in Britain in 2012 and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
