Lushnja Police have provided details regarding the tragic event of Monday evening in Lushnja, where the son of the family killed his mother and seriously injured his father,

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 9:20 PM, in the village of Zhymë.

"Citizen Florion Dalladaku, 45 years old, is suspected of having, in the apartment, for reasons still unclear, struck his mother, citizen Fanije Dalladaku, 80 years old, with a cutting metal object (a baton), who, as a result of the injuries sustained, lost her life, and seriously injured his father, citizen Hasan Dalladaku, 77 years old, who is in hospital, under the care of doctors," the police said.

"Citizen Florion Dalladaku, who is suspected of suffering from mental health problems, left the apartment after the incident. Police services are continuing checks to locate and capture him."

The investigation team is at the scene and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to fully document the circumstances of the incident.
