Prime Minister Edi Rama addressed the public via a live video after the conclusion of the meeting with ministers in Pogradec.

Rama has promised citizens that after the protests of recent months, they, and their government, will emerge stronger, while also showing plans for the future.

"We have prepared a lot now, putting the finishing touches, as we have worked intensively and as a deep reflection of what began before the holidays interrupted the intensive work of the day. We have consolidated several positions, both regarding the citizen-state and state-citizen relationship, here I mean the executive government, but also the parliamentary majority. We have consolidated the position regarding the new approach of the party in the territory through the loyal presence, we have consolidated several positions regarding the innovations of year 2 in terms of government programs, which range from several new programs. The most prominent one is housing, due to the fact that it comes as a completely new thing and to a series of other programs that actually affect several sectors. Without forgetting the progress of the work, which is now the work designed from the beginning.

"BESA is a consolidated concept at the foundation of the first position. We see BESA as an acronym and not simply as the most valuable word in the treasury of Albanian culture and history. It means trust, empathy, service and commitment. With this phrase, we have also defined the steps that will be followed to take the relationship to another level. We have 2 bases, the technological base of the relationship, to which will be added the Albania mirror, the only unique window where the citizen will be directed, to be informed in real time that the government, the state, and the components of the judiciary can join, to have direct contact of the citizen with that power", said Rama.

He also focused on the concept of "Social Albania", linking it to improving the quality of life and expanding opportunities for citizens.

"We are focused on creating a chain that will be the chain of social Albania. Today, social Albania is not only important, but it is starting to become possible because opportunities have increased. A social Albania in things related to things related to the quality of life ," he said.

Rama said that the government is preparing a plan to increase transparency regarding the prices of basic food products. He also acknowledged that the developments of this period have affected the relationship between citizens and the state, but expressed his belief that the process will bring about the strengthening of citizens and improved governance.

"We have talked about prices, of course. We have a plan to make the prices of basic foods transparent for citizens, a plan that we will present once it is fully consolidated in detail."

I understand very well that everything that has happened during this period has eroded a bed, a river of governance, and of the relationship between the citizen and the state. But, I am convinced that, as I have said from the beginning, those who will emerge stronger will be the Albanian citizens and their government. Governance will improve, and there is no other way. What has happened has truly been a gift", he said.

Ramma once again mentioned the protests that continue to be organized below his office on the boulevard, while saying that many citizens ask him about the deformity of the prime minister's nose.

While rejecting all 'accusations' that this deformity is related to drug use, the prime minister said that it is a sign that "remains from the attempt by Sali Berisha's government to kill him during the first years of democracy."

“This sounds a lot like the usual outbursts of the self-destructive opposition. I want you to remember, Albania has never been better, never more internationally valued, never more supported by real opportunities to do more, and there is a reason for this… There are people who occasionally deal with the asymmetry in my nose. Thanks to the contribution of the algorithm that has mediated the political being of Albania, comes that irony of longing, drugs, distortion… This is the sign that my body will carry for the rest of my life from an attempt to erase from the face of this earth where I was born, where I grew up and where I am here today, because I do not have this trace for any other reason. Even when I had nothing in my hand, I wanted a country that stood upright. I wanted to live in a country that would not make its children bow their heads when asked: “Where are you from?” It is for this country that I keep this trace here. You are generally younger than that history and "I'm not here to tell my story. If there is a story of mine that I can tell one day, it's about the things I couldn't do," Rama said.
