The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana demands a sentence of 35 years in prison for Ludian Zaimi, the police officer who shot and killed his colleague, Caush Saliasi, inside police station No. 3 in the capital.

Ludjan Zaimi, the 25-year-old officer of the General Patrol, who shot his colleague Çaush Saliasi to death with his service weapon, claimed after the incident that he had been bullied and insulted by him.

The Tirana police said that the author was Ludjan Zaimi, an employee of the General Patrol, for almost 1 and a half years. The bullets of his weapon fell on the other patrol officer, 55-year-old Çaush Saliasi, who wore the police uniform for more than 20 years.

It all happened just before the two officers took the third shift service. Serious wounds took Saliasi's life, although he was sent for help to the hospital.

"He often insulted me. He continued with this last night as well. I couldn't take it anymore", said the young man, who has shown remorse after the crime.

Referring to the testimonies of other police officers present at the event, the young man addressed the 55-year-old with the words "how do we leave him together" and then shot him several times with a pistol.

The same ones confessed that the young man did not complain about any problems, but was a closed guy with his colleagues. Antidepressant medications were found in the 25-year-old's apartment, and suspicions were raised that he had contact with a mental health doctor.

After the arrest by the Police Surveillance Agency, the 25-year-old Zaimi is charged with "premeditated murder", an offense for which the Penal Code provides a sentence of 15 to 25 years in prison.
