The serious incident in Athens where Alba Cenko was found dead in the attic of her house, after being killed with a hammer by her 39-year-old husband, Kastriot Cenko, has shocked all the residents of Shën Pjetrës in Fier.
In this village, neighbors say that it was a peaceful family and they had no problems.
"As far as we know them, we know them to be very regular people. Sociable, they talk and laugh like the young people they were," says a neighbor.
"They were good, there were no conflicts. We don't know, we were surprised. We are very sorry," says another.
Meanwhile, one of the neighbors, whose son's daughter-in-law is the sister of the woman who was murdered, says through tears that her daughter-in-law has not been able to connect with her sister for days.
On behalf of Alba, Kastrioti would answer, pretending to be the boy, while the author himself, when answering calls, would say that she had left the apartment:
"It's been four days, she's gone and she's not coming back alive. Well, I said, she's writing messages, supposedly she wrote to the boy herself that mom is leaving, but tell your dad to stay close to her because I'll come and pick you up soon. Supposedly she was writing to him."
The bride saw it and said, no, this is not my sister's writing. Something is hidden behind the phone, he said that he had the phone. Then he wrote to her, "Take my sister, don't turn on the camera, just speak loudly so I can hear your voice." She said she didn't have time, she said, "I'm at work."
The couple had two children, ages 9 and 12, who were in the apartment when the crime occurred, but were sleeping. Meanwhile, in the deceased's family home in Çermë-Proshë, Lushnje, the family has opened the morgue doors.
