The police have issued an official statement regarding the serious incident in Saranda where a woman killed her husband with an axe while he was sleeping. 

" In the early hours of the morning, in the village of Metoq, Saranda, it is suspected that during a family conflict, citizen ET, 49 years old, killed her husband, citizen Ll. T., 55 years old, with an axe in their apartment.

Police services have accompanied the suspected perpetrator to the premises of the Saranda Police Station for further procedural actions.

"The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is working to fully clarify and document this event ," the Police announced.
