Shkodra police have arrested an American tourist who killed his wife the day before. The incident took place in the apartment rented by the tourist couple and it is suspected that the crime was committed while intoxicated and for weak motives.

57-year-old Brandon Saportio stabbed his wife, 54-year-old Sandra Saporito, to death in the "Vasil Shanto" neighborhood of the city of Shkodra.

"Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person at the Shkodra Police Department arrested American citizen BS, 57 years old, for the criminal offense of "Murder due to family relations", after: On 02.05.2025, in the "Vasil Shanto" neighborhood, in a rented apartment, it is suspected that in a drunken state, for weak motives, he raped and hit his wife, citizen SS, 54 years old, with hard objects and a cutting tool, who as a result of the injuries lost her life at the scene."
