Italian media are reporting more details about the macabre murder of Albanian student in Italy, Ilaria Sula. Mark Antony Samson is suspected of killing Ilaria Sula with a knife, stabbing her several times and causing blood to spill in every room.
Blood stains were identified all over the wall of the hallway of the apartment in via Homs 8 in Rome, in the African neighborhood where the crime took place. This is according to the forensic police inspection reports seen by the LaPresse agency.
Regarding the timing, investigators assume that the murder took place on the evening of March 25 and not on the morning of the 26th as the confessed criminal stated. The body of the 22-year-old student was later found on the night of April 2 on a slope of Mount Guadagnolo, in the municipality of Capranica Prenestina.
Forensic police found large amounts of blood, using luminescent torches, on the shower floor and in the sinks in the bathroom and kitchen. Other visible traces of blood were also on the sticks and handles of floor brushes.
Another trace was isolated by investigators on a cardboard box on top of a cupboard, while a large bloodstain was on the inside handle of the front left door of Samson's car. Traces were also found on several latex gloves, US media report.
Traces of blood remained despite the thorough cleaning of the crime scene that took place on March 26, the date on which the cleaning products were purchased at a household goods and detergent store.
In confirmation of this, police seized a receipt issued by a store not far from the house where the femicide occurred. According to investigators, several people intervened to remove the blood.
According to investigators, the 22-year-old's body may have been in the apartment for at least 20 hours.
