The 40-year-old Dorjan Keqi , arrested about 1 year ago as an accomplice in the murder of the former director of the Transmission System Operator in Electric Energy for the North Saimir Jaku, will face in court the charge of " Murder in other qualifying circumstances " , carried out in cooperation with " Manufacturing and possession without permission of military weapons and ammunition ".

The Lezha Prosecutor's Office has closed the investigations related to the crime that occurred on September 9, 2016 in a bar in Rrëshen, and the criminal file with the 40-year-old defendant from Kruja has gone to trial.

Just as during the arrest, Dorjan Keqi, a suspected hitman, has denied having anything to do with the incident, but the prosecution claims to have managed to prove his cooperation in this crime, which left one person injured and other that at that moment he was drinking coffee with Saimir Jaku.

The 40-year-old resident of Kruja was arrested in September 2022 by the Police by order of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office.

He was discovered based on the fingerprints he left on the gasoline can that was found at the place where the perpetrators had burned the car after the crime.

The former director of OST for the North, Saimir Jaku, was executed on September 9, 2016. He was attacked with automatic fire by two people, while he was drinking coffee in a bar in Rrëshen together with a friend of his who was wounded by the shooting.

The perpetrators of the event, who are thought to have been 3 people, including Dorjan Keqi, managed to leave in a "Benz" type vehicle, which after the event was found burnt in a village of Kurbin.
