A large fire has broken out today in the mountains of the village of Koçaj of the administrative unit Fushë-Bulqizë, burning large areas.

The fire has fallen on the mountain called "Karaj Meadows" and has spread rapidly due to the strong wind.

Several dozen hectares of forest and grassland have been burned, while intervention becomes difficult due to the rugged terrain.

Police have launched investigations after suspected deliberate arson.
