New details have emerged regarding last evening's operation in the city of Vlora, at the end of which two people were arrested with firearms.
According to the data from the police of the coastal city, the arrested are Santijano Basho and Bruno Shehu, whose weapons were found, while they were escorted to the police station and two other people.
Dozens of policemen, RENEA and FNSH forces were involved in the operation, who blocked the Vlora boulevard for several minutes.
At the scene, in addition to the weapons, the police also seized a quantity of money, but there is still no official statement about the incident.
Santiljano Basho is not an unknown name for Albanian justice. He is considered one of the "strongmen" of Selenica, convicted in 2019 for "coercion by violence for giving property".
Santillano is the brother of Tesi Basho, a high-risk person sentenced in Italy to life imprisonment for murder.
He killed two girls who practiced prostitution in the city of Turin, one of whom he used himself. He was arrested in 2016 in Italy, but only a short time later, taking advantage of the transfer after the earthquake in Italy, together with two friends he escaped through the prison window, with a sheet. He was arrested by the police on October 16, 2019.
