The session in the Albanian Parliament began with a minute of silence for the murder of judge Astrit Kalaja.
Speaker Peleshi said that the judge served the justice system with integrity.
"After consulting with parliamentary groups, the murder on Monday of Judge Astrit Kalaja, who tragically lost his life at the Court of Appeals.
"The murder of a judge was condemned by everyone in our country. Judge Kalaja served the justice system with dedication and integrity. As a sign of respect, let us observe a minute of silence," said Peleshi.
