"Kavaja double murder warned", journalist: Police received information
VICTIMS

The serious crime that took place in Kavaja yesterday afternoon where two people were killed indicates a serious crime situation in the country. This is what security expert Fatjon Softa says, analyzing the recent events in the country. He told News24 that there is a lack of control of the territory and there is insecurity in the property and premises that citizens frequent, recalling the gun attack in "Don Bosco" where the bartender was killed.

Journalist Igli Çelmeta said that the murder in Kavaja could have been prevented by the police, as it had been warned. He said that the two protagonists, Edmond Gosa and Altin Rexha, who killed each other, had been in conflict for a long time and even had criminal records filed by the police.

Likewise, the journalist Çelmeta said that the Intelligence Service had previously given information to the Kavaja Commissariat, even that they were circulating with weapons, but that the Kavaja Commissariat had ignored the Intelligence Service, so not only did it not do its job, but it ignored and the information that came to him.

Igli Çelmeta:  Yesterday's event happened because of a conflict that started a year ago. Kavaja police had information about this conflict. A few days ago, the two victims had a conflict again. The event was warned and could have been prevented, but the Kavaja Police Station did not take any measures.
The citizens say that the police do not have control in the area and the SPZ employee did not bring information about the conflict of a month ago. About Gosa, there was information in the police that he was problematic.

Fatjon Softa:  It is not the first event. The situation has worsened. Throughout the territory we have a problem with public safety, property and the premises they frequent. there is fear and uncertainty. It is a serious event and it is up to the Tirana Police Department, which is subordinate to the Kavaja Police Station, to analyze the event.

Conflicts can happen, but in this case we are dealing with people with precedents and this is where responsibility begins. Every police station has registered people, problematic people who are under surveillance and at least people with records should be under police supervision.

Igli Çelmeta : One of the victims was holding the child by the hand. He was stabbed in a car from Gosa and in a busy area.

Fatjon Softa : Politics must leave the police and the latter must have its own professional course. I am not saying that there is no work in the police, but politics as a whole has interfered in the police. The time has come to reevaluate the police, pay them more, but open the ranks and reevaluate them.
