After being held throughout today at the Gjirokastra police station, giving detailed explanations, the two brothers Danjel and Gazmend Braçi, as well as their father, Eqerem Braçi, have currently been released.

The news of the release of the three members of the Braçi family was learned by journalist Elton Qyno, who learned from reliable sources that the three people suspected by the police have already been released because no evidence of their involvement in the crime has been found against them until this stage of the investigation.

The serious incident of the murder of the Italian businessman occurred this morning in a village in Tepelena, where Edoardo Sarchi was killed as a result of a gunshot attack.

Sarchi had only received one bullet in the internal aorta of his leg, suffering massive hemorrhage, and as a result, he died on the spot.

Contrary to media reports that the Italian had been hit in the head with a wooden stick before being shot, forensic expertise did not confirm this fact.

The businessman and his sons told the police that their lives were in danger, just like the Italian, after a moving vehicle opened fire on them.

Edoardo Sarchi was reportedly shot with a Kalashnikov. The businessman and his sons fled to hide from the hail of bullets on the night of the crime.

The Italian Sarchi and the Braçi family from Levani, Fier are joint shareholders in a brick factory in Tirana.

Together they had gone to the Tepelena area for the weekend to hunt rabbits and wild boars.

But the weekend break ended in tragedy, as an unidentified person shot at 4 people from an angle from below upwards, with the bullets hitting the Italian citizen in the leg and one bullet piercing the car tire.

Currently, investigations into this incident are ongoing, but at the scene, police are reported not to have seized any shell casings from the weapon used to commit the crime.

Italian media write that the brick factory in Albania was founded by Sarchi's uncle, Augusto Nidoli, while the victim himself is known in Italy for the political connections that his father, Vittorio Sarchi, had, who served as a municipal councilor.

For 25 years, the Italian had lived in Albania, in the 'Lapraka' area of the capital.
